The adventure begins

Tuesday July 26 we dropped Ana off at the airport.  She flew from Minnesota to Utah, visited a few friends, stayed at Grandma's and Grandpa's, and had a few visitors stop by.  Once Ana starts her mission at the Missionary Training Center family and friends are discouraged from visiting in order to better help the missionary focus on serving the people missionaries are called to serve instead of hosting guests.  This is some of the emotion- goodbyes to the people you love can be a little hard. Another part of the emotion is excitement about the unknown mixed with the excitement of joy.  I'm very happy for Ana and her decision to serve God in this way.  Ana is at an age where she should be beginning an adult life, a life of her own adventures chosen by her and I'm thrilled her choices are leading to good things.  Her decision to serve as a missionary shows she loves her family, she loves her God as a Father in Heaven and trusts Him, and she wants to share her blessings with others.  There are many ways to share this love that are beautiful and right for each individual.  Serving a mission is not the only way,  but I'm very excited for Ana to find her way.  This is blog is about Ana's path, a small 18 month portion on that path of a lifetime of sharing her joy and love with others.
